Intro

Fremont may once again be in the running to become the new home of the Oakland A's. Bud Selig, the Commissioner of Major League Baseball (MLB), formed a committee to evaluate and make recommendations on a potential future stadium site. That committee asked Fremont to submit a stadium concept for Fremont which City staff did. We have heard that the committee is close to making its recommendation.

The Fremont Chamber of Commerce believes that opportunity rarely knocks twice and we need to show MLB that Fremont wants the A’s. We have created this website to help advance our efforts. We ask you to check back often for news, and for ways in which you can help.

January 27 update

Right now we need you to send a letter to indicating why you believe Fremont is the right location for the A’s or why you want them in Fremont. The letter can be as short or as long as you like. But time is of the essence. We are asking for your letters within the next few days.

We had a great rally on Monday evening, January 25th, with estimated attendance at about 350. But this is just the beginning. Please sign our petition and let us know how you can help moving forward. Sign our facebook fan page: facebook.com/AsToFremont.

Let’s make sure our voices are heard!
